MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G Overclocking

Using MSI Afterburner, we first set the power limit and temperature limit to the maximum values, which are 126 percent and 92°C respectively on this card.

After much trial and error, we eventually got the core stable with 110MHz added to it, giving us new base and boost clocks of 1,717MHz and 1,907MHz respectively. This is a seven percent increase on what MSI runs the card at in OC Mode. We tried increasing the voltage slider to manage a higher overclock but were unable to get anything extra from this sample.

The memory was able to run at a seriously impressive 9.6Gbps without falling over or showing errors. This is a full 18.5 percent boost over OC Mode's 8.1Gbps.
